BTS is undoubtedly one of the most popular Korean bands to get such a worlwide recognition, be it for their unique style or music. The Korean boy band sensation won all categories nominated for at this year's Billboard Music Awards. They were nominated in four categories at this year's award, Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Social Artist and Top Selling Song. And now they have collaborated with McDonald's which will now provide a special BTS Meal to the customers across the world. While the collaboration between McDonald's and BTS has left the ARMY quite excited, the band members Jungkook, Jin, Jimin and Suga have now recalled their fond memories at the fast-food outlet.
Jin said that before making their music debut, they used to stay near a McDonald's which was about 10 minutes away from their dorm. He added that since the food outlet used to be open 24 hours, they would often pay visit to satisfy their hunger and having a good time with each other asking 'How was your day?'
Jungkook said that he misses those times spent during their early career. To which, Jimin added that he associated with McDonald's with his high school years as he always used to stop by during his long commutes. "There was a McDonald's at the express bus terminal, so I would always, always eat there, every day heading to my afternoon classes," Jimin said.
Suga, on the other hand, said that he associated McDonald's with his family as they would bribe him with fries. "When you're young, if your parents tell you to tag along to the mall, by saying they would get me McDonald's fries, then I would go," he said.
Well, it seems like their collaboration is going to get bigger and better. For the uninitiated, The BTS Meal includes 9-10 piece Chicken McNuggets, a medium World Famous Fries, a medium drink, and two dipping sauces. It also introduces 2 new McDonald's dipping sauces (Cajun and Sweet Chili sauces) to the United States.
BTS has just released their second English single Butter after Dynamite. The music video of the song broke their own record for the biggest music video premiere on YouTube, racking up 3.9 million peak concurrents on its release on Friday.
